Collaborative Futures Academy 2024: Emotions in Engagement

Hope, fear, anxiety, frustration, wonder, connection, trust… have you embraced, or struggled with, these feelings in your public engagement practice? Are you curious about how emotions shape the connections we build between research and people? Then the CFA’24 is for you!

What is it? CFA is a live online learning programme that takes a deep dive into engagement practice. It brings together a diverse international cohort of passionate engagers, to reflect on their practice, gain new perspectives and build their skills. This year's theme is on emotions in engagement.

When is it? CFA’24 will take place online 21 - 23 May 2024, with sessions from 9.30 - 15.30 UTC.

Who is it for? The Academy is primarily aimed at researchers who want to develop their engagement practice. We also invite practitioners who directly work with researchers and feel called to share and learn in this space. You need to have prior experience in engagement, be open to challenge your thinking, and seek to share your learning with others.

How much does it cost? Places are funded by the host institutions and are therefore free of charge to participants.
