Lisa is based at the Personal Social Services Research Unit at the University of Kent, she joined ARC KSS and the Co-production theme in 2020.

Lisa also holds a post at the Tizard Centre, at the University of Kent where she is a Trial Manager for an NIHR HTA funded cluster randomised control trial of group CBT for men with learning disabilities and harmful sexual behaviour. Lisa is an NIHR SSCR Career Development Fellow, this award is supporting activities to prepare for a PhD by published works. In January 2023 Lisa was awarded an ARC KSS Future Leaders grant to undertake an evaluation of the bemix CIC ‘Be a Leader’ leadership training for people with learning disabilities.

Throughout her research career, Lisa has developed a commitment to inclusive and participatory research. Appreciating the shared values and synergies between involvement and co-production, Lisa is working with the co-production theme to build an understanding of the benefits of co-producing research in ARC KSS. Other research she is working on at ARC KSS focuses on how Communities of Practice facilitate co-production and support the implementation of research in health and social care.

Lisa is a member of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Learning Disability Community of Practice and is supporting the co-ordination of the ARC KSS Good Lives Research Network, launched by Darzi Fellow Diana Ramsey in 2022.
