Emilia supports the Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex's (ARC KSS) Starting Well theme as a research assistant. She has a BSc from the University of Birmingham in Psychology and a MSc in Clinical Psychology from University of Bath.

Emilia also works as a research assistant at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in the Mental Health Support Team Clinic, researching early school-based psychological interventions for children and young people. In this role, she is part of the team researching outcome measures for the Whole School and College Approach in schools. Her research interests lie in providing early interventions for children and young people. Emilia also recently received an ARC KSS Springboard Award that helped her to conduct a scoping review on current early interventions for children and young people who had experienced potentially traumatic events.
