Dunishiya is a Research Coordinator in the ARC KSS Project Management Office. She completed her first degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and Masters in Applied Organic Chemistry at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Dunishiya is currently studying for her PhD at the School of Biosciences at the University of Kent.
Dunishiya worked as a Lecturer teaching Biochemistry in Sri Lanka for around 3 years. She began her career in the clinical trials field by joining the research team at one of the major hospitals in Singapore (Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Singapore). After moving to UK in 2017, she pursued her career by joining NHS Research. She worked for the clinical trials team in Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Worcester and then developed her portfolio by involving in Haematology / Oncology trials at King’s College Hospital.
