Within the first phase of The National Priority Programme for Adult Social Care and Social Work programme, we have gathered and consolidated existing social care evidence to actively support the implementation and sustainability of best-evidence practice, although recognising and being limited by the underdeveloped nature of the social care evidence base alongside underdeveloped capacity to use research evidence in care provision.
This presentation will focus on summarising the findings so far from the four identified priority delivery areas, as well as outlining the plans for the further implementation, evaluation, adoption, and scaling up our of current projects. These activities have laid the foundation for establishing a collaborative network to support development of knowledge and skills in implementation and implementation research, with the ultimate aim of building social care research infrastructure and workforce capacity in adult social care and social work.
