The first in a series of six, weekly Talk In Equality podcasts, that explore the role of research in addressing health inequalities experienced by minoritised groups, has been launched today (5 September). 

Funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex and supported by the NIHR Research Design Service South East and the NIHR Clinical Research Network, Kent Surrey and Sussex, Gary Hickey (Agora Digital Centre at the University of Southampton), Dr Anusree Biswas Sasidharan (Bridging Change) and Lillian Ndawula (Ethnic Minorities in Canterbury) take the stage with a series of interviews and special guests.

In this week's first episode, What do community development organisations think? Gary Hickey, quizzes Dr Anusree Biswas Sasidharan, Lillian Ndawula and Patrick Nyikavaranda from Diversity Resource International. He asks them about their perceptions and experiences of health inequalities experienced by ethnic minority communities and their hopes for increasing the representation of people from ethnic minorities in both the participation and involvement in research.
