We’re updating our website

We are currently updating the ARC KSS website to reflect our new funding and the changes it brings to our programme of work.  These changes will take place over the course of the next few months.

Please bear with us while we work behind the scenes to make these improvements. We thank you for your patience.

In the meantime, if you need help finding anything, please contact spft.arcksscommunications@nhs.net

The NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex (ARC KSS) has launched its 2023 round of Individual Development Awards (IDAs) to help support individuals to build their research careers through our SpringBoard Awards. This year, we are seeking applications from individuals wanting to build research skills in the area of Children and Young People’s mental health.

These Awards are aimed at individuals employed by a ARC KSS member organisation including those from academia, local authority, social work, or private or charity sectors.  The awards are for £5,000, over six months, to undertake activities aimed at developing research skills and/ or take your research idea forward. The activities that will be funded can be found in our advert (link below).

There are two SpringBoard application deadlines for this year. Therefore, applications should be submitted for consideration by 5pm on: 31 March 2023 or 31 August 2023.

All awards need to focus on childrens and young peoples mental health and closely align with one or more of the ARC KSS research themes and will be allocated to applicants that can demonstrate a clear path in their career development, as well as evidence of how this award will help them towards their research goals.

In return, ARC KSS will provide a bespoke programme of support to successful applicants, including academic and/ or a health or social care professional mentor.
