The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey, and Sussex (ARC KSS) is pleased to announce the launch of its Knowledge Mobilisation (KM) Fellowship Programme in Surrey.

This programme - specifically aimed at health and social care professionals - allows individuals to directly tackle high priority, health and care challenges, such as enhancing urgent and emergency care, improving integrated community services and addressing health inequalities in rural areas.

In partnership with Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex (Health Innovation KSS), ARC KSS is now inviting health and care professionals in Surrey to apply for this opportunity in their area.

Successful candidates will play a crucial role in driving change. They will collaborate with local decision-makers, practitioners and communities to develop practical improvements that will make a lasting impact on patients and services in their region.

What fellows can expect

  • Leadership of impactful projects: Fellows will lead 18-month projects that address critical health and care issues.

  • Alignment with local priorities: Fellows will design projects that address Surrey’s key health and care priorities, aligned with the Surrey health and care system’s strategies.
  • Collaboration and mentorship: Fellows will work alongside local leaders and experts to ensure their projects are practical and impactful.

Lucie Hooper, ARC KSS Knowledge Mobilisation Lead says: "The Knowledge Mobilisation Fellowship is a pioneering programme designed to turn research into real-world impact. We’re thrilled to announce the launch of this year’s fellowship award round in Surrey. This is a unique opportunity for two fellows to lead high-impact knowledge mobilisation projects that will tackle Surrey’s most pressing health and care priorities—driving innovation, collaboration, and meaningful change for communities within the region."
