Share your thoughts on what matters most in support for young people with severe mental health needs
The NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex (ARC KSS) Mental Health Theme is holding a series of friendly local events across Kent, Surrey and Sussex. We want to hear from young people aged 16 to 35 who have used secondary mental health services (specialist support services for people who need more help with their mental health than a GP can provide) in the last 2 years, as well as carers, family members, and health professionals.
We want to find out which questions about mental health care matter most to young people in our region, so future research focuses on what people really need and helps improve services.
You don’t need any research experience to take part – we want to hear from you.
What to expect
· A friendly and welcoming space
· Conversations about getting help, treatment and support, moving between services, early help, day-to-day support, and fair access to care
· A chance to share your views and ideas
· Time to ask questions and meet other people
· Food and refreshments will be provided
What you share will help shape the most important topics for future mental health research.
