Sarah is a public advisor advocating for co-production and public involvement in research.
Sarah is an artist researcher and social activist specialising in public engagement who is also interested in mental health with her own lived experience. She seeks to reimagine the art world as more inclusive and accessible, where an artists’ role is to inspire and facilitate creative thinking. Sarah is passionate about learning through making, and how creative practice can be understood as a form of research. She believes in crossing the boundaries between academia and creative practice using cross-disciplinary ways of working.
Sarah is the founder of Fourth Wall Folkestone Community Interest Company, a creative research hub, informal gallery and open studio with an open door policy situated within the Folkestone Creative Quarter. The space is an inclusive place that introduces methods of creativity as a form of action research; a critical friend to disrupt, uncover problems and offer possible solutions within mental healthcare systems.
We’re updating our website

Please bear with us while we work behind the scenes to make these improvements. We thank you for your patience.
In the meantime, if you need help finding anything, please contact spft.arcksscommunications@nhs.net
