Pippa Shaw is the Public & Community Involvement, Engagement & Participation Team Lead at ARC KSS. Her role involves linking between the academics carrying out the research, the stakeholders who use the evidence to underpin service development and, at the heart of everything, the public and service users whose experience of the health and social care services we aim to improve.
Having worked as a community nurse (health visiting) for more than 20 years, Pippa has the insight and understanding of trying to navigate the health and social care system, from a user's perspective, while dealing with any number of health of social issues that impact on day to day life.
As a Darzi Fellow she has also had the opportunity to see these systems from a wider perspective and appreciate how progress needs to be collaborative with all parties working together.
She is passionate about ensuring the public voice is involved at every stage of the research process and becomes an integral part of all we do at ARC KSS. She is looking forward to working with all our researchers, stakeholders and public and communities across the region to improve services and outcomes for everyone.
We’re updating our website
We are currently updating the ARC KSS website to reflect our new funding and the changes it brings to our programme of work. These changes will take place over the course of the next few months.
Please bear with us while we work behind the scenes to make these improvements. We thank you for your patience.
In the meantime, if you need help finding anything, please contact spft.arcksscommunications@nhs.net
