Patrick is a PhD student in the department of Primary Care and Public Health at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

Patrick's PhD project is investigating care pathways in mental health for newcomer populations, specifically those from refugee, asylum seeker and forced migrant backgrounds. The project will aim to co-produce non-stigmatising care pathways for newcomers, supporting the core ARC KSS theme of Primary and Community Health Services.

Patrick completed both his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Health Psychology degrees at the University of West London. Patrick has collaborated with several NHS Trusts, academic institutions and voluntary organisations seeking ways to improve the mental health of the population.
