Michelle is a Board Public Advisor to the Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex (ARC KSS) and the Sub-National Kent, Medway and Sussex Secure Data Environment for Research.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Laws LLB; Institute of Leadership & Management, Executive ILM. She is qualified and specialised in Quality Assurance; Change Management; Advocacy Services; Medical & Research Ethics King’s College London; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; and Assets-Based Approaches. She is a Kent Surrey & Sussex Health Leadership, Patient Leader.
Her background includes: senior specialist solution services across health, regulation, management, communications and complaints. She has managed and collaborated with diverse, complex teams, across multiple sectors.
Michelle has held non-executive director, chair roles, within local, regional & international charities. She represents patient and citizen voices across varied roles in the health, social care and research systems at national, regional and county levels. A lay expert partner across strategic governance, assurance boards, advisory committees, system & service innovations, planning & mobilisation, to frontline public engagement groups.
During Covid-19, Michelle recruited 300 volunteers; raising £2k for three immunisation sites in Kent.
