Mehmet Bulut is a health economist who holds a BSc in Economics from Kingston University, an MSc in Financial Economics from City, University of London and an MSc in Health Economics from City, University of London. He is currently undertaking a PhD in Health Economics at Surrey University, exploring the relationship between social capital and health and how social prescribing schemes can enhance health through increase in social capital. This PhD is funded by a University of Surrey / ARC Kent Surrey Sussex studentship.
Mehmet has previously worked within the NHS as a management consultant specialising in data and analytics, and has experience working at NHS improvements operational productivity directorate, supporting the Model Hospital platform with the generation and development of economic performance metrics. More recently, Mehmet briefly worked as a market access and HEOR analyst at a pharmaceutical company as well as working as an Economist at the Office of Health Economics.
