Madalina Toma
Miscellaneous Information

Madalina joined ARC KSS in March 2021 as a Research Fellow, working on the Implementation Priorities for Adult Social Care (IPASC) national project.

Prior to this, for the last seven years she has been involved in setting up and developing the work of Scottish Improvement Science Collaborating Centre (SISCC), an international collaboration spanning several universities and health and social care bodies to develop the evidence-base for sustainable large-scale service transformation, focusing on improving safety, increasing care and compassion, reducing inequalities and enhancing population health and well-being.

Madalina’s interests are therefore situated at the intersection of health services research, improvement and implementation science, while her methodological expertise covers the full spectrum of mixed-methods techniques, including intervention and evaluation design, instrument development, formal consensus approaches, as well as various qualitative methods, policy analysis and evidence synthesis.
