Lucie Hooper, Knowledge Mobilisation and Evidence Synthesis Lead, NIHR ARC KSS.
Lucie currently leads the Knowledge Mobilisation Fellowship Programme and the Rapid Evidence Synthesis function at ARC KSS. In these roles, she responds to health system needs and priorities, providing evidence-based insights to support policy and practice decision-making across the region.
In addition to her work with ARC KSS, Lucie is involved with Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex, where she leads initiatives focused on population health and health inequalities. Her goal is to improve health and well-being for all communities, with a particular focus on addressing disparities in health outcomes.
Prior to this, Lucie worked at Public Health England South East as a Population Health Programme Manager, where she led health inequalities projects focused on cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Lucie began her career in health research at Cancer Research UK, holding various roles in research and programme management. Her work spanned cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment, both within the UK and internationally, with a focus on using research to drive meaningful change in policy and practice.
Lucie holds an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology from the University of Kent.
