Katie is an experienced research assistant and project co-ordinator, with a particular interest in public health and primary care. Katie started at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) in 2020 and has been involved in the set-up, implementation and evaluation of multiple large-scale research projects, working with colleagues nationally and internationally. In 2021 Katie was appointed as a research assistant to explore and review the principles of patient data sharing and governance structures of UK datasets. Katie continues to work in the field of data science and is currently co-ordinating a project, funded by ARC KSS, building awareness, resource, and capacity for researchers navigating complex health and social care data access pathways, with the aim of addressing health inequalities, improving care and supporting better health outcomes.
