Jean Boddy

Life took an unexpected turn when Jean married and soon had to navigate the challenges of caring for a child with acute medical needs.  This experience redirected her career towards social care, where she dedicated almost 30 years to various roles, such as a qualified Social Worker, Strategic Commissioner for Adults and Older People, and working within two Clinical Commissioning Group's (CCG's) and as an operational Area Director in an Integrated Adult Social Care team. Unfortunately, due to a period of ill health, Jean made the decision to retire.

Fast forward to two years ago, Jean relocated to Margate, and enjoys family life alongside her three grandchildren. Jean also actively participates in voluntary groups including Healthwatch, and enjoys community activism as a member of the Women's Institute (W.I.).

As a Themed Advisor Jean hopes to fully contribute an extensive generic professional knowledge, strong values of fairness, the peoples voice and empowerment, alongside personal and family insights gained through navigating life's challenges.
