Miscellaneous Information

Devyn joined the ARC KSS in February 2022 as a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Primary and Community Health Services.

Prior to this, Devyn worked at the University of Sussex in the School of Psychology as a Research Fellow on the NIHR ARC KSS funded ‘Zoom or Room’ project, which examined attunement in therapeutic meetings online and in-person. She also led the Just Right pilot of the ESRC funded ‘Our Stories Project’, working in collaboration with the University of Southampton. This involved co-constructing Digital Stories with autistic pupils to support emotion regulation and transitions at school. Devyn worked on these projects alongside her PhD, which is investigating Interpersonal Synchrony and collaboration using specially designed tablet apps in Autism Spectrum Conditions.

Devyn also works for the Association for Video Interaction Guidance (AVIGuk) where she has set up a new online data collection system for VIG practitioners working in perinatal teams to record their pre- and post-intervention data. Her research interests are therefore positioned around interpersonal synchrony and attunement in social and therapeutic interactions, particularly in relation to autism and early parent-infant relationships. She also has a particular interest in the use of innovative digital tools to support and enhance interactions and to improve access to primary care and community services.
