Academy Manager

Beth Flowers

Beth joined ARC KSS in February 2024 as Academy Manager.  Her role is to provide strategic and practical support for the ARC KSS Academy goals and activities that aims to build research capacity across the region.

Beth has over 15 years’ experience in project development. She has previously worked in different roles at the University of Kent, including: supporting a portfolio of research and innovation funding applications and tenders through all stages of the application process, as part of the Research and Innovation support, Local Delivery team, pre-award for law, society and social justice;  Innovation Officer for Kent Enterprise and Impact Network; Funding Development in central research and innovation support, and has worked with academics across all the divisions.

Before Kent she was funding projects manager at a wildlife charity, and an excise duties (oils, alcohols) assurance officer for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Kent Surrey and Sussex.
