Anna-Maria is a Research Assistant in Primary and Community Health Services (PCHS), supporting the delivery of strategic priorities of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration in Kent, Surrey, and Sussex, also working within the Primary Care and Public Health Department at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
Anna-Maria is a psychology graduate (MSc) interested in health equity, destigmatising mental illness and working together with service users and communities to create relevant services in a safe, compassionate and considerate manner. Thematically she’s passionate about working on developmental trauma, mindfulness interventions, psychotherapy, complex emotional needs and mood disorders.
Anna-Maria works closely with Nina Lockwood, Harm van Marwijk (PCHS Theme Lead) and Sam Fraser (PCHS Implementation Lead) on projects guided by central concerns related to health inequalities.
