Jason is a lived experience consultant who uses his knowledge, skills, and experience to improve outcomes for people within the mental health system.

Currently working with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych), and the University of Manchester working on a biographical narrative interpretative method study exploring ethnic inequalities in severe mental illness.

Jason sits on various mental health advisory boards including the National Institute for Health Research, Applied Research Collaborative for Kent, Surrey and Sussex (NIHR ARC KSS), University College London’s Institute of Mental Health, The Stability Network, Healthy Brain Global Initiative’s lived experience council, and Time to Change, the campaign to end mental health discrimination.

Jason has degrees from Goldsmiths, University of London, City University London, and the University of Glasgow. When Jason is not working, he can be found modern jive dancing or cycling around country lanes.
