Researchers Journeys

ARC KSS has joined up with the Research Design Service South East (RDS SE) to bring you inspirational stories from early stage researchers across the region. We will be talking to clinicians, academics or practitioners working in health and social care, to find out how they got involved in research, what worked for them and tops tips for developing a research career.

Tony’s story – read about Tony's journey to achieve his first NIHR funding as a co-applicant looking at how we can better support a sense of homeliness in supported living environments for people with learning disabilities.

Monica’s story – read how, with a supportive mentor, senior team and organisation, Monica has successfully applied for a Pre-doctoral Clinical Fellowship from NIHR to work on outcomes in palliative care.

Lucy's story –  read how Lucy first got interested in research, her journey to studying for the NIHR Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship (PCAF) and her goal to apply for the NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship (CDRF).
