ARC KSS Assistant Project Manager

Kitty Pert

Kitty leads the newly established University of Sussex ARC team as the ARC KSS Assistant Project Manager, providing support to ensure that the research portfolio and programme is supported and delivered effectively within Sussex. Her role supports the successful delivery of several new strategic projects, ensuring they meet their targets, running to time and within funding parameters.

Kitty joined ARC KSS in September 2020 as the ARC KSS Coordinator supporting four of the themes that are based at the University of Sussex: Starting Well, Primary and Community Health Services, Dementia and Public Health.

Prior to joining the ARC, Kitty worked as a Project Coordinator for the SPICES project at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, and was the Unit Administrator for the Department of Primary Care and Public Health. Previously, she has worked as an Administration Officer for a private domiciliary care agency and, prior to attending university, worked as a Community Engagement Officer for both the Local Involvement Network and Healthwatch in Telford & Wrekin. During this time, Kitty trained groups of volunteers aged 16+ to facilitate targeted engagement activities with the public, in order to provide feedback at a strategic level on publicly funded health and adult social care services.

Kitty holds a First Class Honours Degree and Masters with Distinction in the field of History of Art and Design.
