Joy Fletcher

Joy has been in the Care sector for nearly forty years and has worked with many different groups and types of people.

Joy managed Care Homes for the elderly and with people with learning difficulties. These both presented difficulties and similarities. 

Joy was involved with Care in the Community for a short while, an area in her opinion that really needs some work. She beleives it is of extreme importance but seems to have not received the right amount of support over the years.

Joy has also worked with Professor Jackie Cassell on the Scabies project, which she found very interesting and informative. In the past she has  dealt with scabies outbreaks in homes and knows the distress it can cause.

Joy is currently working working one day a week in a home for the elderly, dealing mostly with health and safety and their admin, and is keen to be involved with improving things for vulnerable people.
