Jane Green is an educationalist and adviser on autism, Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) and hypermobility (HSD) and Chair of Sussex EDS and Hypermobility Support (SEDS) https://www.sussexeds.com/
Jane is currently sits on the Social Care Institute of Excellence as a Trustee, the Co-production steering group Board, the Diversity, Equality, Inclusion Board, Carers Support West Sussex Board. Founder and Chair of Sussex Ehlers-Danlos and Hypermobility Disorders group and co-ordinator for the national UK charity in this area, plus leading out the new education hypermobility toolkit in the UK. Also, co-founder of the new the Autism Connected in Sussex.
She is the policy lead for autism at the first autism health training for medical students at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Currently, she sits on The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training for all health and social care in autism and LD as a work autism professional expert and on the Strategic Oversight Group for the same and flexible Co-Chair.
Jane’s background is in all phases of autism education, for the largest charities and was Assistant Headteacher. She had poor education qualifications initially, considered dim, left school early and only lately achieved her BSc.(HONS)Psych. through social mobility with the OU, PGCE, other further degrees. She is a single, parent carer who used to love sport and dancing.
